The Congress Medical Building & Parking Structure project consisted of a new 280 parking space, 5 level parking structure and a 3 story medical office building. The parking structure is 130,000 square feet (included retail space on the first level) and the MOB is 30,000 SF. Both structures required coordination with the MTA, as they were constructed next to the operating MetroLink Gold Line tracks. The parking structure also has extensive architectural detail added include decorative exterior grillwork to make the parking structure match the MOB. Phase II will include an additional 4 story MOB.
Heider Engineering provided full-time soils testing and inspection services during the mass grading of the site, asphaltic paving inspection, inspection of concrete and pre-stressed concrete and rebar placement, post-tension cable stressing inspection, masonry inspection, welding inspection, fireproofing inspection, and the associated laboratory testing.
